Location: Fanal Forest, Madeira (Portugal)
Description: A surreal moment from a beautiful morning of rapidly changing foggy atmospheres. I loved how ghostly this one tree looked among all the red autumn ferns, so I decided to use it as a backdrop for a self portrait. The wind and fog kept changing the light every few seconds, so I ended up just standing among the ferns for almost an hour to capture this image. The whole time I was just in awe of the constantly changing atmosphere and the beautiful birdsong all around me (watch video to see)!
