Title: Across the Divide

Location: Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies (Alberta, Canada)
Description: A new take on one of my favourite places in the world - Moraine Lake. I wanted to capture the surrealism of the blue lake water in the background, this time without any of the mountains or other surroundings to distract from it - the result was this slightly mind-bending photo! A lot of people ask me if the background is the blue sky - but no, it's all the real life colour of that magical glacial lake.
Fun fact: It took quite a few tries of jumping back and forth on these rocks to capture just the right "graceful" photo. It was a steep drop on the other side of the boulders, so you can imagine my caution while trying to hold my balance, when meanwhile several tourists were watching and probably wondering what on earth this crazy lady in a red dress was doing!.... Just creating art. :-)
